Creative writing is an expressive form of writing that allows children to explore their thoughts, ideas, and emotions in an imaginative way. In creative writing, children have the freedom to write stories, poems, letters and even scripts for their own movies. It's an opportunity for them to unleash their creativity, experiment with language, and develop their unique voice as writers.
Pablo Picasso believed that Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.
Learning to draw rewires us to see the world differently, to love it more intimately by attending to and coming to cherish its previously invisible details
“The urge to draw must be quite deep within us, because children love to do it”. ~ David Hockney
Van Gogh believed that art had the power to heal and console, as seen in this quote. He saw art as a way to connect with the human experience, to offer comfort and solace in times of difficulty and pain.
Creativity is an area in which younger people have a tremendous advantage, since they have an endearing habit of always questioning past wisdom and authority.
Drawing helps children improve their hand-eye coordination. It gives them the opportunity to form connections between what they see and do. As an activity, you can have your child draw an object they're looking at.
